Project: Lovely Letters

I can't believe we only have one more task to go I'm sure I will miss it when its over but I'm sure I'll move on to something else. This time I've gone for a cat theme....

I answered my 10 questions from task 2 using my rubber stamps and hello kitty paper and also I listed my 10 favourite things through a collage as I wanted to do things a little differently...

My favourites in no order with still a little bit of a cat theme to it... 1.Photography 2.Music 3. Desserts/Sweets/Candy 4.Crafts 5.Seaside/nautical theme 6. Books 7. Fruits/Vegetables 8. Letters and Package 9. Stationery 10. Leaves Of course there are so many other things that I like so but it said only 10!

I included in my envelope some envelopes from my last letter set and the one I used this time. My friend told me that in Portugal on the 11th November its a national holiday for chestnuts which is quite fascinating. In the UK its not a national holiday but its Remembrance day where people wear a poppy to remember the soldiers that have fought the war since WW1 and we also have a minute silence. As I put some money in the charity pot at the supermarket I was forced to take a poppy which was handy as I posted it to my friend. I also posted some postcards/leaflet on the industrial side of Bradford which I'm sure house many cats!

I used my Halloween Cat set to decorate the envelope and it was a perfect time with Halloween being around the corner at that time. I used my stripy tape around the edge which made it look even better and brighter.  

 

Today I received my envelope from my partner....

Inside were the answers to my 10 questions, a favourite list and some goodies....

1. A cute birdie ATC which I love 2. Buttons: I haven't crafted with that much this year but I am a huge button fan especially the plain ones and lastly lots of mixed items to craft with which are wonderfully colourful and fun. I can't wait to use them at some point :).

Kerri Smith 100 ideas~A map~

Yesterday my mum needed a bill paying at the bank. As someone has stolen my wing mirror I didn't want to take my car. My younger brother was going that way anyway so he dropped me off and I decided to walk my way home as it was such a lovely day.

I got out at the traffic lights when the lights were red and walked to the bank. Once there I noticed the European Market was on selling bits and bobs, I actually thought it was mean of the council to organise it this weekend and not next as people won't be fasting and those that want to try the selection of food could. Theres no point in buying it before hand to eat after fast as you really can not eat all that much when the time eventually comes. I mostly did window shopping and then made my way home....

To sit outside and watch my niece play with her friends.

I had originally drawn all the buildings using a ruler but decided it should be free hand as maps are quite messy (like treasure maps) and then got my distress inks out to make the page a little old looking. Only downside is if I thought about it earlier I could have scrunched the page before sticking it down.

I'm so glad I did this in journal form as I've done a couple of pages now and its really nice to see it all come together :)... its just a shame its not so easy to see exactly what I've done in the photos.

Project: 30 Days Journal Challenge

When making up these project list it really makes me realise how quickly time it flying by. It's Friday already, not that I'm complaining as its almost the weekend... yes! I just need to make my way through work and another horrible rainy day first.

So here it goes.....

Day 16: Short, sweet, and straight to the point :) What are you wearing today? Write it, doodle it, cut it out of a magazine, whatever!

Day 17:Today you are going to illustrate a day. It can be today, it can be yesterday, it can be a significant event that you have had in your life :) Use pictures, labels, words, doodle, sketches, anything you want, to describe your day! This is a cute one. Enjoy!

Day 18:Music is one of my most favorite things ever!! It translates emotions that I can't even imagine putting into words. I love it. Today I want you to create a playlist of some kind. It can be your summer playlist, your July playlist, songs from your wedding day, or favorite songs of all time :) This one will be another fun one to look at down the road.

Day 19: Today I want you to create a "guide to your city." What are the must-see things that you would want a visitor to experience in your city. This can guide can be for your city, town, or state.

Day 20: Here is the age old question, what is in your bag?? This has always been a great photo prompt that i have seen all over the blog world. Today, you are going to write about the contents of YOUR bag, or illustrate it, or take a picture of it, whatever :D

Day 21: What is your most favorite quote? A quote that inspires you, or your mantra. I literally have 4 journals from college filled with quotes that inspire me and make me smile. Today is the day to share your inspiring words with your friends.

Day 22: Today I want to know what your favorite holiday is!! There are soooo many holidays out there and the cool thing is that they differ depending on where you live, your family, and your religion. Teach me all about your favorite holiday and why it's your favorite.
