I am hopeless at writing such an entry without any real prompt but at least the writing is a lot larger then how I normally write.

 

By the way I've no idea why my images are on there side as on Flickr they are the right way up and were when I uploaded them. It seems to be doing this to me a lot lately as I did a post on Strawberries and Buttercups and it did the same thing.... very strange if you ask me!

I am going to stick this photo in my journal for 35. Give away something you love.

I received this Russain Doll Ornament in a swap via Swap-Bot and absolutely loved it. It has been sat on my desk ever since. Recently I created a Russain Doll theme birthday present for a friend and found this mug that matched so well with the ornament that I had to pair them up and send them off together. It was such a hard decision to give it up though as I didn't want to part with it.

Kerri Smith 100 ideas ~layers~

I decided to create a flat entry of layers, I used 5 different designs in paper, 2 different tapes to layer on top of it. My rubber stamp border, Russain doll and the layers on her. I then created a second doll as a tag to write on the back why I created that layered effect. If I'd thought of it earlier I could have turned the first doll into a card or pocket and wrote inside her. Its why I should sometimes think things through but I'm one to work on things as I they come to me when decorating.

Do you plan things before you start doing anything?

Yesterday my mum needed a bill paying at the bank. As someone has stolen my wing mirror I didn't want to take my car. My younger brother was going that way anyway so he dropped me off and I decided to walk my way home as it was such a lovely day.

I got out at the traffic lights when the lights were red and walked to the bank. Once there I noticed the European Market was on selling bits and bobs, I actually thought it was mean of the council to organise it this weekend and not next as people won't be fasting and those that want to try the selection of food could. Theres no point in buying it before hand to eat after fast as you really can not eat all that much when the time eventually comes. I mostly did window shopping and then made my way home....

To sit outside and watch my niece play with her friends.

I had originally drawn all the buildings using a ruler but decided it should be free hand as maps are quite messy (like treasure maps) and then got my distress inks out to make the page a little old looking. Only downside is if I thought about it earlier I could have scrunched the page before sticking it down.

I'm so glad I did this in journal form as I've done a couple of pages now and its really nice to see it all come together :)... its just a shame its not so easy to see exactly what I've done in the photos.

These are in no particular order but what just came to mind after reading the prompts.

1. Electric Toothbrush.... why did I not buy one of these sooner as my teeth are so much cleaner then an ordinary one.
2. Snail Mail... is my life. I've been doing it since I was 8 years old!
3. Stationery... I can't help buying it even if I don't need it.
4. Tissue Paper... I've always got a snotty nose and in the olden days we had hankies which just weren't enough so I can't now survive without my tissue paper.

6. Charities... I can't help but support some of them.
7. Faith... one needs faith to survive.

Did you flatten leaves to make food for your friends to enjoy? Did you make Daisy chains in the spring/summer sunshine? Did you have someone set up a rope swing for you to spend hours playing on?..... I could think of so many things but decided to only fill a page for this one.

Keri Smith 100 ideas~ 67. definition~

I decided to choose my hobbies as I find so many things fascinating and interesting. I picked some things from those hobbies that I could write up.. It wasn't until I was half way through doing the first page that I thought I should have done it picture dicitionary style as I've done it like a dictionary so I ended up adding the pictures at the end.

I've noticed some of the words are missing from my second photo so I'll retake that again tomorrow.

Keri Smith 100 ideas~86. Write an entry in code~

After weeks of talking about it I finally got around to starting my Keri Smith 100 ideas journal. As I mentioned I wanted to do as much of it in notebook form as I can so that I'm able to have it there in my hand to see. I couldn't take to my last journal at all and since my niece had told me she wanted a new notebook to mark make in I decided to let her have it. I've now ended up with this one.

Its simple and the pages are great quality so it makes it all that much nicer to write in. I actually wanted this notebook from Wilkinsons but our local store didn't have it and I thought it was too much just to set up an account and make an order for one book even though it has quite a few of my loves on the front.

I started by decided on what exactly each letter/number should be in the easiest way possible as I'd have to draw quite a lot of the letters a few times. For some of them it was actually really hard. Of course I could think of animals but eventually they would have all looked the same. I'd already regretted the milk one as I couldn't for the life of me draw that properly when the time came.

Maybe you'd like to try and crack it as quite a few of the words are the same. It actually felt like writing a foreign language in picture form and it was easy to pick up. Its just a shame that my pictures ended up quite untidy towards the end.
