Lovely Place...

Between the Pages of a Book is a Lovely Place to be!

I asked a friend for a list of loves which she sent me. I decided to choose the theme of 'Books'. I used a dictionary page, Paddington Bear rubber stamp and a book quote to go with the theme. I liked how the postcard turned out but the only thing I would loved to have done is to sew around the edges but I ran out of time as I hope to send this friend a card a month only February was days away so I wanted to get it out in time. I sent it in January but she got it today so I need to be better prepared next time!

I hope that you are doing well with your projects!

Project: Inpiration

photo
With hardly having received letters for the last 2 months I have hardly been to the post office which has resulted in me also not going to the library but as my sister needed me to post a card for her I decided to take my niece to the library. This also meant that I could leave another envelope somewhere so decided to choose a book from their new book range as I always head straight for that section when I managed to settle my niece down to enjoy the children books. My niece really wanted to borrow a book on Tuesday so I let her and decided on Thursday to return it. Whilst there I decided to check the new books and they were left exactly how I had left them on Tuesday in a big mess... so no one had even looked or taken the envelope. Hopefully they have by now!

I choose this one to go in the book because it has text on the paper. I also managed to start using my new frame rubber stamps on the front of the envelopes.

I've nearly finished decorating all the envelopes that I have created so far so I really need to make an effort to leave them in some of the following places....
  • bus stop
  • cafe
  • toilets (hopefully disabled ones but usually those are locked here and those who are in a wheel chair have to try and contact someone to open the door).
  • a weight loss section
  • a flower garden
  • bicycle
  • milkman
  • and any other random places that come to mind.
I am enjoying this project but I haven't even had the chance to sit down and start any of the projects I had hope to do. This time of year is usually exhausting and long at work.

I hope that you are enjoying viewing these envelopes and postcards so far. Have any of you found them inspiring enough to try something out on your snail mail envelopes?

Project: Inspiration

photo
With really enjoying reading myself I really had to have an envelope between a book page, my idea had been to put it between the pages of a library book but then I thought our local library is just so quiet what if the book I choose takes forever to be picked up and flicked through. So in the end I made my way to the supermarket and placed one between the pages there. It was such hard work as there were a lot of people wondering around along with a worker that in the end I picked one off the shelf and got on with things.

This one I kept simple as you can see but it still does the job. I used some Christmas stamps for this one from a Charles Dickens range that came out years ago for his Christmas Carol book. I was so disappointed with my UK stamp range as majority of those in my pack were Christmas ones but those that weren't have come in really handy. My Fruit and Flowers stamps though have fit in perfectly. I wanted to use stamps so that it felt like receiving a real letter.

Do you prefer these all in one photographs or would you prefer I post them individually?
