Project: Doodle A Day ~Hop~

Day 11: Hop Day 11: hop I spent many happy days playing this, we didn't need money spent on us to be entertained! The good old days! #hopscotch #doodleadaymarch #doodleaday
This always takes me back to my childhood! Using the pavement as a grid, searching for stones to write with but also to use as a counter. Most of our games were like this... pittu, rounders, skipping, elastic, cats cradle but best of all an abandoned sheet of paper to play noughts and crosses (tic tac toe), dots, chatterboxes... oh! I just remembered card games too, snap, lucky fish, pairs! Oh what fun! Hardly any money ever needed to be spent in those days.

What was your favourite game as a child?

Did you flatten leaves to make food for your friends to enjoy? Did you make Daisy chains in the spring/summer sunshine? Did you have someone set up a rope swing for you to spend hours playing on?..... I could think of so many things but decided to only fill a page for this one.

What are some of your childhood games?
