Day 15: Cat

This is going to be the last stamp I post for this scavenger hunt which I've enjoyed so much and I've used 14 of my own stamps for the themes and one for ones I've been sent. I would have loved to have continued with the hunt but I've got to the point where I'm now going to have to use stamps from other countries as I can only fit in about 3 with the rest of the themes. I just don't unfortunately have the energy to go searching through all my letters right now and as you'll have noticed I haven't posted anything on any of my other blogs.

 

I'm sure I'll be back to post some more challenges here soon though.

Day 9: Red

Well I didn't think a person could get anymore red then this. I almost didn't get the stamp range as Royal Mail sent me Jane Austen stamps by accident. They were so wonderful and let me keep them and sent me this set too which was slightly cheaper. It was so nice as it makes it worth while having spent a fortune on mail all these years and hopefully many more to come.

 

Day 10: Word

I choose this for the building topic and then realised it had the word Kursaal on it so had to pick something else. Having now posted this stamp on here I've just noticed there are people in the entrance way.

 

I'm really going to have to do some serious searching through my envelopes tomorrow for the different shape themed as I've never come across U.K stamps that are any other shape but Rectangle and Square.

Project: Stamp Scavenger Hunt ~Nature~

It is so much fun using my collection to fit in with the themes but its getting harder and harder to fit things in as I want to but unfortunately there are no stamps created by me and I doubt Royal Mail will ask for my opinion on this one as they'll be insanely shaped instead of stuck to the usual stamp shame.

Day 8: Nature

The only downside to taking part in challenges like this is that it really makes you aware of how quickly the days are flying by... or even the year as we are already half way through the.

 

Anyway I chose this one for the tree, hillside and the river, I could spend hours just sat in a place like this walking or sitting/meditating in the sunshine (if there is any that is!). One nice things about photographing my stamps with this range (as I did it before even this challenge begun), if I've never heard of a place before I can click on the labels and it shows you all photos others have posted but also I find out exactly where it is.

I did share a photo of my stamp theme on Instagram yesterday but I never got a chance to blog about it.

Day 6: Building

I just have such a love for old buildings like this one. You will see many more stamps from this series even though I have used a lot of them already but I just love the images and I really hope to one day visit many of the places.

 

Day 7: Person

I bought the latest range of stamps created to celebrate the queens 60 year coronation. They show images of the queen of her time on the throne and this one has to be one of my favourites which is why I had to share it.

Project: Doodle A Day ~Star~

Day 26: Star

It was a friends birthday last week and even though I remembered I never got a card out... actually I never got around to making one. So I used yesterdays doodle for the card and then today I had to keep it simple for the envelope and choose what I've done above even though I'm not completely happy with it. Still I hope that my friend will be happy with it.
